Statement

I have always been captivated by the poetics of things and spaces and inspired by their symbolism. This fascination drives me to create art, as I continuously explore the language of objects that yearn to share their stories. I observe and interpret, weaving narratives from what I can sense.

Inspirada por la poética de las cosas y de los espacios, siempre me ha cautivado su simbolismo. Esta fascinación me impulsa a crear arte, mientras exploro continuamente el lenguaje de los objetos que anhelan compartir sus historias. Observo e interpreto, tejiendo narrativas a partir de lo que puedo intuir a mi alrededor.

My journey

Antoni Tàpies's Tachism, made me see the expressiveness of marks. I first developed a fascination for exploring the use of automatic marks while developing photographs of spaces that I later projected. Echoing Surrealist automatism, I explored new art forms that led me to create installations in both public and private spaces.

Interested in surrealism's strategies, I drew inspiration from René Magritte and Leonora Carrington’s use of juxtaposition of spaces and symbols to construct narratives. Today, my artistic practice centres on my exploration of digital photography, photomontage techniques, and the inclusion of objects, which I sometimes cast to undress them and give them an oniric characteristic.

Most of my works present themes of time, absence, and pain. These ideas first manifest as marks on photographic paper that suggest gestures telling the story of a moment, or as traces of wear on old objects meant to convey stories of hardship. The concept of time was further developed during my time in Germany by creating non-linear sequences.

Mi viaje

El Tachismo de Antoni Tàpies me hizo ver la expresividad de las marcas. Primero desarrollé una fascinación por explorar el uso de marcas automáticas durante el desarrollo de fotografías de espacios que luego proyecté. Haciendo eco del automatismo surrealista, exploré nuevas formas de arte que me llevaron a crear instalaciones en espacios tanto públicos como privados.

Interesado en las estrategias del Surrealismo, me inspiré en el uso de la yuxtaposición de espacios y símbolos de René Magritte y Leonora Carrington para construir narrativas. Hoy, mi práctica artística se centra en la exploración de la fotografía digital, técnicas de fotomontaje y la inclusión de objetos, que a veces modeldeo en yeso para desnudarlos y darles una característica onírica.

La mayoría de mis obras presentan temas de tiempo, ausencia y dolor. Estas ideas se manifiestan primero como marcas en papel fotográfico que sugieren gestos que cuentan la historia de un momento, o como trazos de desgaste en objetos antiguos destinados a transmitir historias de adversidad. El concepto de tiempo se desarrolló aún más durante mi estancia en Alemania a través de la creación de secuencias no lineales.
